The Textile Museum Appoints New Management
The Textile Museum announced today that Maryclaire Ramsey has been appointed general manager. The Textile Museum is now under leadership of a management committee led by Ramsey and including Douglas Maas, the Museum’s chief financial and administrative officer. These management changes follow the resignation of former Director Daniel Walker.

The Textile Museum announced today that Director Daniel Walker has resigned, effective March 23, 2009. Walker has served as director since May 2005.

Inspired by the exhibition, Timbuktu to Tibet: Rugs and Textiles of the Hajji Babas, Textile Museum Director Daniel Walker will explore some of the excellent rugs in the holdings of members of the Hajji Baba Club-the nation’s oldest and most prestigious rug and textile collecting society-and the qualities that have made collectors covet them.
