Starting April 3, 2010, the hours for the Arthur D. Jenkins Library & Reading Room for the Textile Arts, on the third floor of The Textile Museum will be open to the public on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Saturday 12 to 4 p.m. The library’s nearly 20,000 volumes encompass the history of textiles, rugs and costume, as well as contemporary fiber art, textile structures and techniques, and textile conservation. The multilingual collection consists of monographs, serials, pamphlets, auction catalogs, slides and videotapes. An appointment is recommended, contact library@textilemuseum.org.
