Sorry, I have no comment but am trying to get in touch with Dr. Mattiebelle Gittinger.
I am considering attending and perhaps presenting at the TSA conference next year September in Washington DC.
I would like to ask Dr. Gittinger what she remembers most about my dissertation “The Power of Cloth” that she examined for the Australian National University in 1995. I am currently reworking the dissertation for book publication with the ISEAS.
Because the dissertation seems appropriate for the conference, I would appreciate some input from Dr. Gittinger as to what would be a good topic to select for presentation since the work was dense with historical information on the Indian textiles traded to Southeast Asia and beyond. Whatever she remembers most is probably of interest to others?
I thank you in advance for forwarding this request to Dr. Mattiebelle Gittinger. My private email address is womenweave@hawaii.rr.com
